Spring was in full bloom at The Lakes at Litchfield as Members gathered for one of our most enchanting Signature Experiences yet — Ready, Set, Bloom. From peaceful moments in the garden to an elegant English-inspired afternoon tea, every detail was thoughtfully designed to celebrate the beauty of the season and the joy of making new memories together.
Finding Wellness in the Garden
The festivities began outdoors, where Members embraced the fresh coastal air with a relaxing Yoga Fusion session in our butterfly garden. Surrounded by colorful blooms, it was the perfect way to stretch, recharge, and connect with nature. Wellness is an important part of life here, and experiences like these help our Members stay active while enjoying the beautiful surroundings that make Pawleys Island such a special place to call home.
Creativity in Full Bloom
After yoga, creativity took center stage as everyone crafted their own floral fascinator hats. With flowers, ribbons, and plenty of imagination, each hat became a one-of-a-kind masterpiece and the perfect accessory for the afternoon’s highly anticipated English Gardens High Tea Party.
An Afternoon Tea Worthy of Royalty
Guests then followed a winding floral pathway beneath cascading blossoms and delicate lace parasols into a dining room that had been transformed into a breathtaking English garden. Fresh flowers, elegant pearls, and charming décor created a magical setting that felt straight out of a storybook. Before taking their seats, Members enjoyed capturing memories at our photo booth, where smiles were just as abundant as the blooms surrounding them.
A Menu Fit for a Queen
Of course, no high tea would be complete without an unforgettable menu. Our talented dining team prepared a feast worthy of royalty, beginning with coronation chicken, a beloved British classic originally created to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation. Featuring sweet mango, sliced almonds, dried apricots, and a subtle hint of curry, it was a delicious nod to tradition.
The royal-inspired meal continued with a trio of tea sandwiches featuring egg salad, crisp cucumber, and creamy pimento cheese. For the entrée, Members selected between a Beef Welly Pot Pie or a perfectly prepared Cornish Hen. To end the afternoon on a sweet note, everyone enjoyed a refreshing lemon posset topped with fresh berries, an elegant dessert that perfectly complemented the day’s festivities.
