The Supernova Award is the highest individual honor that our company gives and each year. One individual on the leadership team at The Lakes at Litchfield is voted by their colleagues as the community’s Supernova based on an assortment of criteria. Each year during the Senior Living Communities Annual Meeting, the winner is revealed and given a customized crystal award at the company’s formal Supernova Awards Evening. The criteria for voting is based on upholding our company’s mission to be caring professionals dedicated to quality services. Additionally, this individual will consistently deliver excellent customer service (to Members, families, and colleagues), lead positively with integrity, take accountability, put the team before themselves, and embody the company’s vision to create communities where people live longer, healthier, and happier lives.

This year, we are proud to congratulate our Lifestyle Advisor, Jamie Prosser, as the recipient of the 2021 Supernova Award. This honor was bestowed at the Senior Living Communities Annual Meeting on Thursday, August 5th at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation on Amelia Island, Florida. As a Lifestyle Advisor, Jamie is a knowledgeable and detailed-oriented professional who guides prospective Members through the community’s residential options in an expedient way. She also serves as a key marketing contact for their campus in the greater community.

Jamie began her career working in the engineering industry for a company that designed bridges and specialized in transportation. Prior to coming to The Lakes, she was Assistant Head of School at Lowcountry Preparatory School, spent several years as a private consultant to three different companies, and a couple of retail businesses. Additionally, she served as the Chairman for the March of Dimes Chef Auction and Board Member for many organizations including the Grand Strand Miracle League.

In her free time, Jaime enjoys college sports and you can catch her cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. Additionally, she enjoys cooking, needlepoint and spending time with beloved Maltese, Zoe. She’s a proud mother of Matthew and Thomas who are currently in college.

What’s a quote or inspirational words that influence/impact you?

“Do the right thing, the right way, every time!”

Congratulations on being chosen as a Supernova! How do you feel?

I am extremely honored and very humbled to be the recipient of this award. Being recognized by my team members made this night the highlight of my career.

What’s your favorite part about your position?

My favorite part is learning the history of our Members. Each of them have fascinating stories. I also enjoy working with a team that I can laugh with and that inspires me everyday.

What do you want people to know about working in a retirement community?

If you look beyond the walkers and the white hair you will find individuals with amazing histories. It is the little things we do everyday that make a big difference in their lives. The appreciation they express is extremely rewarding.
