Celebrating National Senior Health & Fitness Day
Active Senior Living in Pawleys Island
Who says aging can’t be an adventure?
This year, our Members celebrated National Senior Health & Fitness Day the Lowcountry way—with fresh air, movement, and an unforgettable outdoor experience on the Waccamaw River.
An Active Day in Pawleys Island, South Carolina
The day began in beautiful Pawleys Island, South Carolina, where Members set off on a guided airboat excursion with Riverboat Plantation Tours. After meeting Captain Jeff and gearing up for safety, everyone boarded the airboats, ready for a journey through the region’s waterways.
As the boats glided across the river, nature took center stage. Members spotted crabs along the shoreline, herons soaring overhead, and much to everyone’s delight, several baby alligators basking in their natural habitat. Every turn offered something new to see, making the experience both exciting and educational.

Sharing a Meal and Making Memories
Following the river adventure, the group headed to Outriggers Bar & Grill for lunch on the outdoor patio. With waterfront views, delicious food, and great conversation, it was the perfect way to relax and reflect on a day well spent.
Moments like these highlight the importance of social connection, something we value deeply in our community.
Celebrating Senior Health Beyond Exercise
National Senior Health & Fitness Day is about more than physical activity. It’s a reminder that healthy aging takes many forms. Whether it’s exploring nature, trying something new, staying socially connected, or simply enjoying time with friends, each experience contributes to overall well‑being.

Redefining What Senior Living Looks Like
Senior living today is anything but ordinary. Our Members continue to challenge stereotypes, embrace new adventures, and inspire those around them by showing what it truly means to age like a champion.
We’re proud to celebrate moments like these—ones that inspire and prove that growing older doesn’t mean slowing down. It means continuing to live life to the fullest.
